Lakewood Eats: Biscuit House

Made From Scratch. Served From The Heart.

Is there anything more comforting than classic homestyle cooking served by AND for a community as warm as the fluffy biscuits made fresh in-house daily? Biscuit House exists as a space that feels like coming home.

Nestled in Lakewood, this woman-owned gem was born from the vision of mother-daughter duo, Galina and Sofia. Their story is one of passion for food, community, and the power of hospitality.

Owning a restaurant means we can open our doors to so many people and invite them into our Biscuit House family,” says Sofia. “It’s not just about the biscuits. It’s about the relationships we build, the support we get from our customers, and the amazing team that keeps it all running.

Galina and Sofia have created something more than a restaurant; they’ve built a home, a place where the community gathers, laughs, and feels a little more connected. It’s the kind of business that’s more about the people than the food, even though the food—fresh, comforting, and simple—brings everyone together.

Biscuit House is more than a local favorite; it’s a cornerstone of Lakewood’s growing, vibrant community. And as we continue to shine a light on the unique magic in this sister city, Biscuit House stands as a reminder of the ties that bind us all.

Lakewood and Tacoma are more than just neighboring cities. They’re intertwined, each one reflecting the heart of the other. That connection is the thread that weaves together the spirit of our South Sound community. And it’s that bond—rooted in shared culture and mutual respect—that makes the partnership between Lakewood and Tacoma so special. While Tacoma often steals the spotlight, there’s a quiet magic just across the city line in Lakewood, and it deserves its time in the sun.

Lakewood Eats is a series we've dubbed to highlight some of the best-hidden gems around The City of Lakewood. Stay tuned to see our next feature!
