Lakewood Eats: Hot Fish House

Built From Grit, Grace, And Good Flavor

We’ve partnered with The City of Lakewood to amplify our sister city, because it's such an integral extension of Tacoma and the culture we all share in the South Sound. We often focus so much on Tacoma, that we would be remiss if we did not shed light on the magic that exists so close nearby around our neighbors!

Introducing... Hot Fish House for Lakewood Eats, a series we've dubbed to highlight some of the best-hidden gems around Lakewood, WA: a true cultural hub for authentic cuisine from all around the world!

We had the honor and privilege of meeting Quinton Gathers, owner of Hot Fish House, whose energy, warmth, and southern charm all transcend into the food he serves. From the "best catfish in the Pacific Northwest" to jumbo smoked turkey legs and other classic dishes based on the Carolina Geechee culture of Charleston, South Carolina, Quinton and his family bring their rich southern roots to the West Coast.

As a veteran himself, Quinton pays homage to his service and missing home with the comfort of southern cooking and providing soldiers of JBLM with "a little taste of home" for those who may miss their family in the south.

Visit Hot Fish House today for some southern flare here in the PNW!
